copy of the bulletin, medical prescription for the device, certificate of classification and type disability, if necessary.The documents can be sent to CNAS and online, and within three days of sending the file the House must notify if it accepts or rejects the request.If the request for settlement is accepted, within the period of validity of the CNAS decision, the patient or family must contact one of the providers with whom the House has a contract.They will need the decision issued by CNAS and the medical prescription.Read also: Only 4,255 new cases of COVID and 241 deaths reported on Monday |Newsweek RomaniaWe present the CNAS explanations, at the request of Newsweek Romania:"Patients with COVID-19 benefit after discharge from any medicine recommended by a specialist.The doctor in the hospital has the obligation to issue, if the situation requires it, at the discharge of the insured, medical prescription for medicines with and without personal contribution in the outpatient clinic, according to the legal provisions in force, if an outpatient treatment is recommended, according to the medical letter / exit ticket from the hospital, for a maximum period of 90/91/92 days.Insured persons who experience moderate or severe post-COVID-19 respiratory failure or who have undergone a triage system specific for SARS-VOC-2 infection may also benefit from the device for continuous oxygen administration ( oxygen concentrator type).Patients with certain conditions may benefit from non-invasive ventilation.The procedure for obtaining these devices is regulated by Annex 39 to the Order of the Minister of Health and of the President of CNAS no.1068/627/2021, as follows:Ø The insured, a first or second degree relative, the spouse or the legal representative submit an application to the health insurance company in the records of which the insured beneficiary of the device is, together with the following documents:· Copy of identity card;· Medical prescription for the device;· Certificate of classification in the degree and type of disability for the equipment for oxygen therapy and non-invasive ventilation, as the case may be.Ø For children up to 14 years of age, the medical prescription for the device, specifying the child's domicile, and a copy of the birth certificate are attached.Ø Documents can also be sent to the health insurance company by post or by electronic means.The health insurance company is obliged to analyze and decide to accept or reject the application, within a maximum of 3 working days from the date of its registration.In case of acceptance, an approval decision will be issued for the purchase / rental of the device, within the limits of the fund approved for this purpose.The decision is collected from the health insurance company by the beneficiary, a first or second degree relative, his / her spouse or legal representative, or sent by post, upon request.In the event that applications for devices exceed the approved monthly fund, priority lists shall be drawn up by device category.In this case, the decision shall be issued when the fund approved for this purpose allows the settlement of the device, in the order of priority list.For the purchase of the device, the insured, a first or second degree relative, the spouse or the legal representative shall address, during the period of validity of the decision, one of the providers of devices under contract with the health insurance company, with the following documents: decision issued by the health insurance company and the prescription.Documents can also be sent to the supplier by post / courier.The reference prices borne by UNFASS for the rental of these devices are:· Oxygen concentrator: 193.39 lei / month· Non-invasive ventilation device: 577.45 lei / month.In order to better inform the general public on how to access medical services in the social health insurance system, CNAS has launched the first edition of the Insured's Guide.Thus, the details regarding the medical services provided to patients with COVID-19 after discharge can be accessed on the CNAS website, in the Insured's Guide, or by following the direct link: https://cnas.ro/wp-content/uploads/2021/08 /cnas_guidul_asiguratului_final_v2.pdf. ”
